Requirement

DEPENDANTS:
Principal applies first, then a copy of passport with bio data page and permit page attached, with company letter, and freeze ones letter must be included with dependent’s application
Mining Company

  • An application letter from the company
  • A letter of support from the Minerals Commission
  • Details of the company: Certificates of Commencement of Business; Incorporation; Registration and Company Regulations GIPC approval in the form of an introductory letter specifying the number of quotas granted, and the position of the applicant in the company
  • Quota approval granted by the Ministry of the Interior for the period that the company in question is permitted to carry out mining; [and][or]
  • A work permit by the Ministry of the Interior for the period that the company is permitted to carry out mineral exploration
  • A completed application form
  • Two recent passport photographs (recent means taken not more than 6 months)
  • The applicant’s CV
  • Passport


Gas/Oil Exploration

  1. An application letter from the company
  2. A letter of support from Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) / Energy Commission Details of the company: Certificates of Commencement of Business; Incorporation; Registration and Company Regulations GIPC approval in the form of an introductory letter specifying the number of quotas granted, and the position of the applicant in the company
  3. Quota approval granted by the Ministry of the Interior for the period that the company in question is permitted to carry out mining; [and][or]
  4. A work permit by the Ministry of the Interior for the period that the company is permitted to carry out mineral exploration
  5. A completed application form
  6. Two recent passport photographs (recent means taken not more than 6 months)
  7. The applicant’s CV
  8. Passport

NGO

  • A letter of support from the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare
  • Certificates of Incorporation; Registration to; to Commence Business
  • Application letter from the NGO
  • Letter from the Sector Ministry accepting the applicant’s qualifications
  • Work permit from the Ministry of the Interior
  • Completed application form
  • Two recent passport photographs (recent means taken not more than 6 months)
  • Photocopy of the agreement between the government and the NGO
  • C.V. of applicant
  • Passport

Student

  1. A letter of application from the school stating course of study, duration etc.
  2. Photocopy of the admission letter and receipts for fees paid
  3. Letter of accreditation if in doubt of the school’s status
  4. Two guarantors who have completed the Bond for repatriation expenses
  5. Copy of student identity card (where applicable)
  6. Completed application form
  7. Two recent passport photographs (recent means taken not more than 6 months)
  8. Passport
  9. Letter from parent or guardian (with copy of ID document) if student is a minor

Students under 18 years of age

  • A bond has to be signed by the school.
  • Normally done by 2 teachers signing on the school’s behalf where the child is in a boarding school.
  • Teachers must also submit bio data pages of their Ghanaian passports. Read more...
