Re-Entry Visa

 

As captured in section 5 of the Ghana Immigration Service Act 57 (Act 200),  Re-Entry Visa is a type of Visa issued to person(s) who had lawfully entered Ghana or holders of Residence Permit who seek to leave Ghana temporarily and to re-enter Ghana without necessarily obtaining Visa from the Country visited or travelled to temporarily.

TYPES OF RE-ENTRY VISAS

There are two (2) types of Re-entry Visas; Single and Multiple Entry.

SINGLE –RE-ENTRY VISA

This type is issued for a Single journey only and it is valid for three (3) month from the date of issue.

PROCESSING DURATION

A maximum of fifteen (15) days.

MULTIPLE RE-ENTRY VISA

Multiple Re-Entry Visa is a type of visa issued for multiple journeys of three (3) within a six (6) month period.

Note: All Re-Entry Permits are subject to applying on the prescribed form to the Comptoller-General and the appropriate fees paid

Requirement

    1. Completed re-entry visa application form
    2. One recent passport photograph (recent means taken not more than 6 months)
    3. Passport
    4. Copy of return ticket (may not be required if Ghanaian holding foreign passport)
    5. Application/Support letter if requesting for multiple re-entries
    6. If the applicant is from a diplomatic mission.

    • Application letter requesting for re-entry visa
    • Two (2) passport size pictures
    • Return ticket
    • Non Citizen I.D. Card
