The Airport Communication Project (AIRCOP)

The Airport Communication Project (AIRCOP) which is a UNODC project is one of the intelligence units within the Command

Arrival
A person entering Ghana shall

    • enter at an authorized point (Immigration Act 2000, Act 573, section 3)
    • appear before an immigration officer (Immigration Act 2000, Act 573, section 2)
    • produce the requisite travel documents/visas. (Immigration Act 2000, Act 573, section 4)

Departure
 A person exiting Ghana shall
1) exit at an authorized point (Immigration Act 2000, Act 573, section 11)
2) appear before an immigration officer (Immigration Act 2000, Act 573,                   section 10)
3) produce the requisite travel documents/visas . (Immigration Act 2000, Act   573, section 12)
4) not be liable to the State in any form

Requisite Documents
1. Valid Passport or Travel Certificate

2. Valid Visa
3. Fill out embarkation/disembarkation card


 
E-Gates KIA

E-Immigration

The E-Immigration project forms part of the overall E-Ghana project.

It consists of modules such as Secured Border Management System (SBMS), Visa Management System, and online applications for visas and permits.

The SBMS module on completion will be rolled out to be the new passenger processing system. As part of its component is the electronic gate

(e-gate) system which would help the Service improve on the speed of passenger processing.

Passengers who will be enrolled on the e-gate system can access it.
